Enmerlin’s childhood in the Dominican Republic was shaped by the love and wisdom of her grandparents, as well as the influence of her aunts and uncles. Growing up in this close-knit, culturally rich environment instilled in her a deep appreciation for tradition, family, and the importance of shared experiences. Her passion for cooking is deeply rooted in the vibrant flavors and culinary customs of her homeland. Through this book, Enmerlin aims to highlight how food can unite people, strengthen bonds, and preserve memories. This is her first published work, marking a milestone in her writing journey. Looking ahead, she hopes to inspire others to explore their heritage, celebrate family, and build lasting traditions around food and togetherness.
